I think you will be satisfied with how much suction this little thing has.

My reccomendation for cleaning the filter:

Check it after every car you do or after every time you use it.
If you think it needs cleaning, take out the filter, get an extension cord so that you can run the vaccuum way out in the street or yard, use the vaccuum without the filter in ( don't run it for too long as it isn't the best for the vaccuum) and using the blowing feature dust out the filter.

I've used the same filter for a few months now ( 1-2 cars a month) and it has held up exceptionally well.

Anyone else use this kit? Im thinking of purchasing one for my shop vac. I used to have a really old shop vac that used a 1.25" hose so I could take all the attachments off of my house vac and use them for the car. Now that I got a much more powerful one, the hose is bigger. I really cant pick up the dirt because there is not enough suction when Im holding the attachments on the pipe.

Alrite since I got no replies I still went ahead and bought the kit. All I can say is wow! All the power of the shopvac coming from the size of a pencil. Really great for dashboards, inst cluster, center console, and all the small crevices. Another good thing is that I needed to purchase a 2.5" to 1.25" adapter ($5, no bigie) which I also like because now I can use my home vacumm tools on the shopvac and do the bigger areas fast and efficiently.

I remember print ads by Electrolux from when I was in highschool (quite a few years ago ) that read "Nothing ***** like Electrolux".

Admittedly this wasn't in the US, but still very funny.

Id love to get a mini one like that but we just bought this big one. Big one can be a little clumsy as sometimes Ive experience it rolling away down the driveway...but I just take off the wheels now lol.

that's understandable, but remember next time if you purchase a wet/dry vac, that ridgid vacs have a lifetime warrantly.

                  Re: Vacuum purchase opinions

Will keep that in mind. Thanks. But before I buy a mini one Id probably go and buy a bissell little green machine as everyone here says they are fantastic. I have a floor mat thats basically half black (soda) and half light grey(brand new part that somehow didnt get pop all over). I want to see if the bissell can remove that bad of a stain. Probably not though lol.
