Help with carpet care!!!

so i recently purchased a used carpet from another Integra as i'm going to replace the one that i have in my Integra.

It's a good looking carpet with no tears or anything, it's pretty much in brand new shape. The only problem, and a MAJOR one, is that it has the horrible smell of cat urine!!!

What should i do? the carpet isn't installed so it should be easier for me to clean.

Scrub it out with a good brush and some APC. Use an extractor or wet/dry vac to **** as much water out as you can. Let it sit in the sun to dry up. Take a smell. Repeat if necessary.

We're going to do something very much like this with the carpet out of our 1975 Jimmy, we removed all the carpet while we were upgrading the mechanicals and installing a back seat and a roll bar.

It's a fairly new carpet kit for the truck but it has some ground in dirt here and there. Wife has a couple of household steam cleaners for cleaning carpets plus we have a LGM

We'll try to document our process and results.

Luckily we don't have the cat urine smell to deal with. Might want to look at our Odor Eliminator in the Professional Line to use after the cleaning process.
