  • Dashboard bulkhead treatment????

These things crack due to heat and light. I use a sun shade, but even that is not 100% prevention. What is a good product to keep the dashboard bulkhead from cracking. I'm thinking it needs to be something that will keep the material moist and supple.

I drive a new '08 Bullitt Mustang and want to keep it in mint condition.

    Thanks for any advice.

Bulkhead? Do you just mean the top of the dash?

You would want an interior dressing, as that would provide the most UV protection.

Nxt Tech Protectant, Natural Shine, or #40 Rubber and Vinyl Dressing would all be good items to look at.

I have had very good results using #40, and the Gold Class vinyl and rubber protectorant. Both imho are excellant products.

I'm a Natural Shine guy and I'll use it every other wash or so (probaly every two-four weeks or so). Aslo, if you notice your dash getting a little dusty and needs a quick touch up use Quik Interior Detailer and it'll be shining once again and have a little more UV protection. That combo works well for me.
