Anyone detailing newer Fords , especially trucks, or Chevy Equinoxes, has probably run into this nasty fabric that doesn't like to come clean - in light gray and tan, naturally. It shows every water spot, line, etc. and spot cleaning is NOT an option or you will have a ring. Anyone run into this and how are you cleaning it?

Re: New Ford upholstery problem
I have an 04 F-150 with the light grey upholstery and know exactly what your talking about . Very hard to keep clean, and like you said even water will leave a spot on the fabric. Mine is a mess right now and needs a good cleaning. In the past I have just used upholstery cleaner in a can with one of those scrub brushes on the top of the can that I had sitting on the shelf. I forget the brand, but it worked ok on the few places that I tried it on. I am open to new suggestions though.Brian

Re: New Ford upholstery problem
I have the similar material in my Saturn Vue, and with two children spend a fair amout of time cleaning the upholstery. I have had good success using an aersol foam cleaner with a mf. Occasionaly I will get a ring, but with a rinse of distilled water it usually takes care of it.

Re: New Ford upholstery problem
try using megs two step leather cleaner. It has an aloe cleaner and aloe conditioner. If you have cloth, I dont know what to tell ya, but if you have leather, give the above to products a try. By the way, the back seats in new f150s are vinyl instead of leather, freaking cheap FoMoCo!!!
