  • what to use?

ok... so i haven't tried to fix this yet because I wanted to get some opinions first. This is a 1999 Mercury Cougar and I'm wondering what product would be best to try and the methods.

Both would be ok, though if you know what the stain is APC+ is more of a degreaser. So if it is grease, that might be the one to get.

And since it is a headliner, you cant soak it the same as you would a floor mat. You have to kind of spray a towel, then blot a bit, spray some more, blot some more, etc... Let it dry, check your work, try some more, etc. You dont want to soak it.

not sure what it is (bought the car used and it was there when we bought it). Would it hurt to use APC+ even if it isn't grease?

            No, wouldnt hurt at all.

The other main difference is that APC will foam, while APC+ is non-foaming.

                Here's the large size photo...

Be careful you don't press too hard on the headliner while trying to work a cleaner into the stains as you can stretch the material and cause it to sag.

These types of stains can be hard to remove because headlines are just plain hard to work on.

Another product you might try that you might be able to find retail is our
