  • Red leather seats in a 2005 Mustang GT

I'm sure some of you know this, but the new body style Mustangs have an option of getting red leather interior accents, in respect to the older classic Mustangs. That package includes red leather seats, and a Mustang I may be detailing soon has those seats.

The guy told me that he's tried a few products (haven't found out exactly which) on them, but he can't seem to get the seats clean. I also don't know exactly how bad/dirty they are.

Basically I'm looking for some help/info. I have Gold Class Rich Leather cleaner/conditioner spray, and the same product in wipes form. They have worked wonderfully on cleaning my black leather seats and making them look great, so I'm wondering if I can expect similar results on the red leather or if I'll need something stronger.

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, those seats are a pain to clean. I think vinyl cleaner is the best, because only the seat inserts are leather, while the bolsters and head rest are vinyl. That's what I've found on the Mustang forums.

Plus, that red bleeds like nobody's business too.
