  • Gas Spill in Trunk

I got a sedan that has spilled gas in the trunk and still has a smell but after cleaning the trunk with baking soda it is 75% gone. What will kill the rest of the smell?

    Also take your pick..

    Patriots or Giants?

I am taking the patriots easily over the Giants. Brady is so dominate if brady was on the giants for the super bowl the giants would win.

Try pouring the baking soda in a baking pan or something and letting it sit while your not driving the vehicle of course. This might get rid of the other 25% of the smell. I used this approach on another car that had spilled milk in the trunk that the owner didn't clean up entirely in the month of August. The milk sat down in the spare tire well and got rancid. Man did that car stink inside!
As far as the game, although I would like to see a perfect season, I am tired of seeing the Patriots win. I say Go Big Blue! That is hard for me to say because I am a die hard Eagles fan....

I would never root for any team from the NFC East especially the cowboys and Giants. Romo 0-2 in da playoffs. Ha ha and to cryin. That was great. Made my week. Next year hopefully the eagles will be back.

What part of the trunk was the gas spilled on?

On the floor. The car has a tire under it and it is not a carpeted floor it is a really short carpet that is hard to scrub because it is probably a centimeter thick and then the plastic is under it so i think the gas has soaked into the plastic.

The tire is under the car or is it in one of those wells that those temp spares are stored in? If so take out the spare and make sure you clean out the well. You may have to take the carpet out in order to thoroughly clean all the odor out of it.

Usually letting it air out is best ....
