  • Tacoma Interior Detail Price Suggestions

I saw someone I used to work with tonight and she asked me if I wanted to detail her truck for her when the weather gets better.

She said the inside is pretty dirty and wants me to vacuum, de-fur, clean, deodorize, and protect everything inside and the weatherstripping of course, and possibly do an extracting job/spot removal on the seats and floors because her dogs have been in there.

It is a standard cab Toyota Tacoma. I have never done just an interior detail, and don't even know where to start on a price. I don't want to charge too much/too little.

    I appreciate the help/suggestions guys!

I usually charge between $35-$65 for an interior detail only which includes inside windows if the unit isn't a "dumpster".

A full detail on a truck that size would run about 250.00 to 300.00. This is paint correction and shampooing.......everything in between too.

If a customer wants only an interior done.....I split it down the middle in price.

I would take a look at it before you agree on a price. If its in ok shape then something like $65. If it needs more work, like stain removal, you need to charge more.

I charge $100+ for a normal interior detail and I'd say $150 if it has dog hair. If I remeber correctly the material on those cloth seats are not the easiest to clean either. What year is the truck?

I want to say it looks like this (an extended cab, not a regular like she said). I know it is a TRD version. It has been awhile since I have seen it so I can't remember.

That should be a pretty easy job but I would still charge at least $100

Dog hair can be a pain, unless you have the right tools like
                (rubber bristle brush)
I charge $100 Rasky R1 and me think alike ....

Which is why the OP should look at it before deciding a price.

I always say $100+ or $100 on up. That way you can give the final quote upon seeing the vehicle.

If it is bad then $75-$100.
The cab is not that large, however you are talking about hair and stain removal.

Good luck, and let us know how it came out.

I was thinking around $100 as well.

It's not going to happen for a month or two, but want to plan ahead so I know where I am going with it when I talk to her.

                        Thanks guys!

I must admit. I've lost alot of clients by requesting to see their vehicle first .

Good thing is I know her and told her I would have to check it out before I could give her an answer.

                            "OK."

Re: Tacoma Interior Detail Price Suggestions

I have a set price range, which I tell the customer up front, but if in doubt with the condition of the car, i always ask to see it first, so I can get a picture as to what I am in for.

I also use this time to show the customer what I can/can not do, and how I will go about doing it.

I have never lost a customer to this yet.

Also this is a good time to actually meet each other, see how big the job is, and what else you can sell them, such as dent removal, paint restoration, etc, as well as take care of any up front issues.

Also the customer usually gives me the code to their garage at that time, so I can just show up, and get to work.

Maybe a different approach is what you need, and you should not be turned away.........
