Recommend an ink remover?

I was noticing in my wife's car, there are a couple of small pen marks under the door handle leather.

Can anyone recommend a process and/or product to get the marks off? I don't want to start mucking around, chancing that the leather will fade a bit or spread the ink.

It works on clothing so I would try HAIR SPRAY...the liquid kind not the aerosol kind...takes it right out of clothes so it might work...

I have successfully remove ink using Isopropyl alcohol and a cotton cloth. I have also used a Magic Eraser with good results. With either I must caution that this is dangerous. The leather and vinyl in most of our cars is coated with a urethane base color top coat. If you remove too much of this you expose the underlying material and it is pretty ugly. Be very gentle with whatever approach you use.
