My friend threw up in the car. Now I'm throwing up every time I drive...

As you can see from the title....sigh....

Cousin picked up a drunk friend of hers, and the friend proceeded to throw up in the car. What luck... The interior floor carpets took the whole mess (luckily), so now I've got to find a way to totally remove all traces of it, as well as restore the air quality in the cabin.

The unfortunate thing is, my cousin took the car when I was out of town, and while the mess was cleaned up, the residue has been sitting on the carpet for at least the past couple of weeks.

I'm desperate now, and any help would be a godsend....

Hi dude,

Use APC cut 4-1 and simply spray onto the effected area, leave for a few minutes then brush it into the carpet, then using an extractor (wet & dry vac) with only warm water in the tank remove the residue, it may require 2 applications but it should do the trick.

Just a note when cleaning fabric upholstery & carpets that is my mehtod i.e. apply my cleaner be it APC or carpet & upholstery cleaner via a spray bottle and brush into the fabric then as above remove using the extractor that way you are removing all the moisture and more importantly the cleaning solution.......if the cleaning solution was in the extractor then some would be left behind
