  • Leather Strims On Leather ...

    Hellow everybody,

I hope you guys can help me.
One of my friends have a Audi Q7 with some nice yellow leather.
Now his belt of his paints make some strims on the leather.
I tried with some products but not with meguiars.
Can you guys give me the best products for this problem.
I was thinking of the 2 steps systeme for leather, but is it also posible with the Gold Class Leather Cleaner and Conditioner

    Greetings...

You will have to clarify what is happening. I am not familiar with the word "strims".

Is dye or color transfering from the belt onto the seats?

If so, first throw the belt away. Then try the Gold Class Leather Cleaner and Conditioner.

If the leather is scratched, THROW THE BELT AWAY.

I am going to try to explane you guys in my best english.
He has leather seats and he always has a belt on.

The belt is from leather, he was washing his car and he see that on the leather seats there are marks of rubbing the leather belt.
The mark are in the middle of the seats and it's black.

The leather isn't scratched and I can take pictures because he isn't in Belgium for the moment.

If the seat is not scratched, then the belt is transferring dye onto the seat.

Your only option is to try different leather cleaners on the seat. If the (leather?) belt is made from cheaply processed leather, the oils and dyes in the belt may have impregnated the leather seat.

In that case, the seat cover must be re-dyed or replaced.

Oh, yes..... THROW AWAY THAT BELT!!!!

          *I think Strims = Streams.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

            Streams of dye? Streaks?

              Forget the strims or streams.

I don't know if the belt was from a good quality.
But there are little marks in black from the belt on the seat.

On meguiars holland there was somebody who told me that I have to use gassoline to clean it, and afther GC conditioner.

I would not use gasoline on a leather seat.

That and a few matches should solve the problem.

Might as well. My suggestion about loosing the belt didn't go over very well!
