Is it still there? leather scent

hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows if any of the Meguiars products help release the natural scent of leather. I have had my vehicle for a few months now and I can't tell if the leather scent is gone or if I have just gotten used to it! I have the "Rich Leather cleaner/conditioner", which works very well, but tends to leave its own scent lingering. I have heard that Griots has a leather scented fragrance, but i would rather kill two birds with one stone by protecting the leather and releasing the leather fragrance as well. I know this is a trivial subject but if anyone has any ideas, they would be very much appreciated!!

If you buy a new sofa, it also has this leather scent but with time it just fades. Depends on how many other scents you take in your car (perfume, cigarettes, food, ...)

I don't think you can re-create that scent as it's part of the natural process but there are fragrance sprays that claim to be "leather scent".

Also mileage is a very important issue here. If you drive frequently, the scent is fading even more than if you drive only every now and then. (know a guy that has his car for about 4.5 years and it still smells like new - but only drives it on sat/sun.)

Some leathers have a scent that lasts a long time. The old E type Jag was one. Even years later you still could smell the leather. Ferraris do as well. Something in the tanning process I guess. American cars never smell as good, although my Corvette still does after 4 months. But the post above is correct: other smells will eventually overpower the fading leather. I still remember how good my holsters smelled for my toy guns when I was a boy--and a new baseball glove....
