  • A Few Questions

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a few new interior products, specifically for leather and carpet cleaning. I have an idea of what I want to buy, but I wanted to run it by here for some input.

    1. Would APC be a good choice for leather and carpet cleaning? I've seen it leave great results on leather, and I'm curious about the carpet. If not, what product from Meguiars has worked the best for heavy leather and carpet cleaning? (I'm using APC for most of the questions, FYI)

    2. What kind of spray trigger is best for APC?

    3. What method have you found best for cleaning leather/carpet with APC/APC+ or any cleaner for that matter? How long do you let it saturate before scrubbing, how do you get it out of the carpet, etc.

    4. What conditioner would you recommend?

If it makes any difference, I'll be buying from ADS. Thanks so much in advance to everyone, all advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    1. Yup.

    2. Foaming Head for APC. Regular for APC+

    3. Well, I have just worked by hand, never needed an extractor a or anything for any huge job. So for carpet, I just spray on, agitate, and dab off with a terry cloth. Leather is more of a spray/wipe on, wipe around, wipe off with a dry towel. Headliner is spray on cloth and dab gently.

    4. The Gold CLass Leather Cleaner/Conditioner is pretty solid. You could also buy the 2 step aloe cleaner and cocnditioner products.

Dont forget your vinyl, etc as well.

Hey, thanks so much! For vinyl and that sort of stuff, I use NXT Tech Protect. I found it works great and if buffed out a little bit, it doesn't leave to much of a gloss. Is it a good idea to clean that sort of stuff with APC first and then follow up with the Tech Protect?

As long as all is clean, re-applying Nxt Protectant over the Nxt will be ok.

If you get something dirty, you can use the APC. Incidentally, for just dusting, the Quick Interior Detailer is great.
