Stain from hair grease

SO my buddy left a container of hair product in his car and when he opened it, it exploded on him and his cloth seats in his 06 car. I havent tried it yet but I may have to use some type of degreaser to shampoo with? I have used the same thing I degrease engines with to spot clean like this. What do you guys think.

What type of surface is the stain on? The seats, dash, floors?

OK, I read in your post about the cloth seats but wanted to know if it was on anything else before giving a solution.
I would say that the hair gel / product is most likely water based, so you should be able to clean it up with APC at a 10:1 ratio and either a rag or soft brush.

It is actually a hair grease. When you get it on your hands you need dawn to get it off. I even thought about using dawn. It reminds me of the grease in the gun you use use on your vehicle.

I think the more important question here is: "Who in the heck uses hair grease that you have to take off with Dawn?" Does that have to be applied to the hair with a grease gun?

If the grease is that bad you should have your buddy throw out the seats then urge him to switch to Paul Mitchell.

I hear ya bro. But I am guilty of using the stuff. I just spike the front bangs though. Have to scrub the hell out of it in the shower to get it out. But I look good detailing cars(LOL)
