    Cloudiness after PlastX

    My wife's XC90 headlights were really really bad. The UV coating was as bad as it gets.

    I started wet sanding with 400 grit, then 600 - 1000 - 2000 and finished with 3000.

    I then used Megs UC on a foam pad attached to a 3/8 drill. (My G110V2 hasn't arrived yet). The results with UC was fantastic! The plastic sparkled.

    But after I applied PastX it seems to have actually dulled the plastic. I haven't applied a UV protectant yet. Was wondering what I did wrong and whether I should try another coat of PlastX or use the UC to remove it and try again.

    The UC and PlastX work a bit different.... I'd stop after the UC if you liked it, then wax or UC protectant.

      What are you doing up so late?

      So just use UC again or remove the PlastX with ...?
