Just getting into the D/A game and have some UC i want to try on some headlights. Will plastx remove the marks that UC might leave or do I need something in between.

If you have fine scratches or mild oxidation UC will do a decent job and PlastX can follow.

For more serious problems M105 or even wet/ damp sanding may be necessary and then you need M205 next.

Meguiar's also has Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit available which contains everything you need for those type of projects:

I used the UC with PC 7336 and Megs 8207 pad on my Moms and Bros Lexus headlights w/ mild oxidation.......finish turned out flawless.
