Re: Advice Needed: Hazy/Cloudy Headlights
hi guys, first post here. was following the process on how to polish plastics. i got a fuel lid that is made of plastic and am trying to polish that.
however after wetsanding with 2000 grit, there are scratch marks all over, and application of PlastX by hand does not remove them (and does not return the plastic back to its original shine)
Is it because i did not use enough force to apply PlastX just like neo_phase?

So what was your final process that accomplished those results? Nice job, btw!

Re: Advice Needed: Hazy/Cloudy Headlights
I read the same tutorial and had great success. I tried before reading it as well, no so good on the success scale. The main difference was keeping everything super wet when wet-sanding, and I applied plastX 3 different ways...first with a terry cloth as suggested, then with an applicator pad, then with a MF, worked wonders. I still have work to do, but I believe I cleaned the mess I made before reading the forum...

Hi peeps,
I decided to give it another go. This time round with some boost of 'passion' in the sanding and scrubbing.
Result was fantastic! Will post some pics up later.
Cheerios
