  • Swirls On Tail Light Covers

I washed my car yesterday and noticed the Tail Lights have a low-to-fair amount of "Swirling" to them. The car is only a year old and I haven't waxed it yet, so it came from the dealer that way (what do they do to these poor cars at dealers to "prep" them???).

Will PlastiX get these swirls out?

Could be that whoever buffed the car also buffed the taillights and that's where the swirls came from but if this were the case you should also see them in the paint.

Could just be from washing and drying as some plastics are soft enough that they will scratch and swirl easy.

    PlastX should fix the problem.

I've done Speed 4 on my G100 with a 8006 pad and PlasticX, works good.

You can also use a Foam applicator pad.

One thing to look into once you get them back. Pickup a can of Plexus. It is a great inbetween cleaner to keep them looking good between using PlasticX when detailing. Make sure you use a microfiber to buff it off though, never use a paper towel on a car, anywhere, period.
