Hi All,
So seeing how its March Break and i'm extremely bored. I decided to see how Plast-X works.
I tried it out on my winter beater Ford Ranger with old crummy headlights that have never been cleaned.
Product: Plast-X
Material: One clean 100% cotton towel, 1 Meguiars Terry Towel
Time: 20 Minutes
Effort: Minimal - weather is depressing.
Process:
The headlamps were washed with car wash soap and scrubbed nice and clean.
Dried with a towel.
Plast-X and cotton towel was the method I chose to use to apply the product to clean the coverings.
Wiped off with Megs TT.
I had to do two or three passes to get them clean, with minimal effort. just can't seem to get into it with the weather being so brutal. its depressing.
The end result was pretty good. I'm happy with it considering its only a beater and is on its last legs. They are much much cleaner and clearer. the pictures don't really show it all that well but they are.
What would I do next time? Seeing how its a winter beater and I'm able to 'play' with it a little more, I'd like to take off the coverings and give it a clean with a polisher and the white LC pads.
my camera was messing up so these are the pics that came out, out of the 25 or so that I did take.
Product and Material

Headlight 1 Before I started.

Headlight 1 After

Headlight 2 Before

Headlight 2 Halfway. You can see the half I was cleaning -- the right side. that's only one pass

Headlight 2 After.

Product and Material Finished and Dirty
