  • PlastX-Not bad at all

I used Plastx for the first time & I like it using it by hand for me was just to much work so I used the DA & in no time cleared & cleaned the lens up. Here are some pics. I think I got a little happy trying to use it on anything that was plastic & scratched up. Oh, I also used it on my I pod which also cleaned up the face of it. No pics on that though.

PlastX works great and the competition doesn't have anything like it. Aways reading people talking about plexus and novus we've offered the products thay have and more for decades before the entered the market.

What pad did you use? 8006?

I used a small 3" pad that was included in a wolfgang headlight cleaning kit. I can say it was equivelant to the W8006. I definitely agree with Mike that the PlastX cleaned quicker & better than other products I've used.

Now I have only used PlastX but and have no reason to try another as PlastX works each and everytime.

Now that is pretty impressive. I picked some up last night. Haven't used it yet but I am thoroughly impressed.

I've used Plexus before and I like it as well. It is not a polish like Plastic X is. Plexus is an inbetween cleaner, same as the Wax N Dry products offered. Inbetween boosters. There is not a need to use Plastic X each and every time you wash your car, and when you wash, you clean your windows, so why not clean your head and taillamps. Plexus is that kind of product, just to give it a clean after washing, not so much a detailing tool.

Today was my first time using PlastX. Wow, what a product. I love it. Here's a tip for anyone listening. I used it on my faux chrome trim. The trim was dingy with waterspots. It really took away from the car. I used the PlastX and a terry cloth towel and with just a minute amount of passion, the waterspots and dingyness came right off. Now the faux chrome sparkles. No fear of scraching the fake chrome, either. Try it out if your chrome is lacking.

I like plexus as well, for detailing clear plastics. It works great on hard to read dvds and cds. Its marketed as a cleaner/polish for clear plastics. Supposedly sealing the pores and making smaller scratches less visible. Didn't even know Meguiar's had an equivalent until I joined the site. http://www.meguiars.com/?pro-clear-p...astic-Detailer I'll give it a go when the time comes. I actually bought PlastX at Cycle Gear when I picked up the Plexus. FWIW, plexus isn't much cheaper per ounce than Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Detailer. They both advertise anti-static capability and I'm sure they both do equally well at restoring optic clarity.
