Help With Restoring Clear Plastic

I registered for this forum becase I read a post somewhere recommending Meguiar's to restore a plastic finish. This isn't on an automobile but rather is the clear plastic window on a brand new dryer I purchased. I was attempting to remove the gunk left from tape on it and didn't realize it was plastic, not glass!!! It left a haze on part of the plastic finish. I was Googling products to remove surface scratches from plastic/plexiglass and came across Meguiar's.

Can anyone tell me if it will remove the haze from this finish and make it clear again? If so, how do you do it? My marriage may depend on it!!!!

Maybe some meguiars plastx worked in really really well. Several applications may do the trick. I am not sure thoug but I think its worth a shot.
