  • Does this have film on it ?

I just finished a major detail to my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Everything turned out better than expected. Now for my question, my headlights are scratched pretty heavily. I attempted both ScratchX and PlasticX with very little effect. So I've been reading about wet sanding them. From what I've read, it's not a good idea to wet sand whenever the headlight has a film coating. Well how do you tell if it has a film coating or not ? Hopefully the photo tells the rest of the story.

    Thanks in Advance --Dan--

If the coating is failing, it does not matter wether you sand it or not....

I don't know about your headlights and it doesn't hurt to try but a few we've had at work and tried to fix, it was actually on the inside of the light and not the outside and we couldn't do anything about it.

It certainly looks like something is wearing off of your headlights.
