  • Dressing for Engine i.e. valve covers, plenum...

Other than plastic, what would anyone suggest for the metal items, valve covers, intake covers, plemum, etc.?

I have a Fiero 86 GT Fastback...rebuilding it, just clayed and put one coat of of NXT and happy, but I know I can do allot more. I have a orbital and just learning...yes I am a newbie.

I have two Fiero/Pontiac shows and would like to have good shows...I plan to:

    1) Clay and considering ScratchX as a polish
    2) A coat of NXT, should I do two?
    3) Engine: What do you suggest for metal i.e. valve covers, intake covers...any engine part, I heard STP Son of a Gun?.
    4) All the trim, seats, etc.,

    Cheers,

    Brian

    Hey bassman

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

For the car, if detailing by hand, I would suggest using the ScratchX to remove the scratches and marring. Here is a how to on the proper application of ScratchX

How to remove a defect by hand with ScratchX

Follow this with 2 coats of NXT Tech Wax.

For the engine's metal parts, I would suggest Meguiar's NXT Metal Polysh

    NXT Generation All Metal Polysh

Be sure to apply to a cool surface a buff off to a high gloss!

For the exterior trim, I would suggest Meguiar's Gold Class Trim Detailer. This product will help retsore your exterior trim back to its rich color!

    Gold Class Trim Detailer

For the inside trim, I would try and get a hold of one of Meguiar's new products, Quik Interior Detailer. If that is not availbale, then I suggest using #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner:

    NEW Quik Interior Detailer

    #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner

    I hope this helps!
