  • Cleaning the fire blanket on a Mustang

I am not sure exactly how to clean the fire blanket that attaches to the hood of my Mustang. Would it be better ro remove it and clean it, or clean it in place?

    Thanks,

I usually clean them in place. I'll use a soapy solution (or APC depending on how dirty they are) with a soft body brush and rinse with a gentle water spray from the hose, being careful not to tear the fabric. I then let dry and spray with Meguairs Tire Foam for a great look.

    Hope it helps!
