  • Engine Dressing In Australia??

I've never come across any engine dressing in any auto store I've ever been to. Can anyone point me to a place in Perth that stocks a decent engine dressing or suggest a suitable alternative? Ordering off the net isn't a possibility for me.
1987 VN Commodore Executive. Some engine work, 3.8lt V6, 3spd Auto. Original paint & interior. Alpine head unit with Sony Splits, 6x9's, 500w amp + 1000w sub. Lowering & chrome mags still to come.

IF you have access to the internet, go to a site that sells to Australia and order Meg's Hyper Dressing. WORK WONDERS. Dilute to different ratios for different levels of Shine.

IMO I love the extreme shine which is a 1:1 Water to Chemical ratio.

In the past I had used tire shine gel from meg's or armorall for all the black radiator hoses or black plastic pieces.

Hey, was able to clean my mums car today. did the engine first. For my first 'proper' engine clean, I am fairly happy (Thanks so much blackscreaminmachine for the tire shine idea).

              Looks great

FWIW.... I would stick with a water based dressing. Oil based will pick up more dust and will be alot tougher to remove next time you decide to detail your engine bay
