Well after I detailed the 300ZX engine I posted about I said to myself, I think I better clean my engine up. So today when I got home from work I got right on it.
Now the compartment wasn't too too bad but did need some cleaning up.
Before I began doing anything I used compressed ait to blow out all the loose debris
I then followed up with some Degreaser Diluted 4:1
I let the degreaser sit for a bit before I began to start brushing
Now and then I use a pressurized garden sprayer to rinse the engine down. With this I have much more control on where I spray the water. Like Aaron mentioned on his 05 Neon engine detail be careful where you spray water to avoid any damage to the electrical.

Again, the engine wasn't too bad but it did make a slight difference. Engine was dressed up using HD 4:1
