Re: spark plug wires
old post, but I used to use carb or brake cleaner, spiff and span on the spark plug wires. Be careful though, some brake cleaners will eat rubber/plastic, I have some Craftsman brake tools that I happened to clean with brake cleaner and it started to dissolve the plastic handles. Who'd a thunk??
I just sprayed on a red rag and wiped it clean.
Have fun.

Re: spark plug wires
should work, but spraying and wiping with carb/brake cleaner works quickly, I had some yellow wires on my ol' Chevy and it cleaned them quick.
