  • Why not much use of #82

As I read through the forums, I don't see much mention of #82 Swirl Free Polish.

Any reason for that? If I DO see it, usually it's someone kind of throwing it on as a last step with their G100.

Anyone use it with the rotary machines?

#82 is a very good product, but also very mild. In a lot of cases, it is too mild for general use, so #80 is needed to be a little more abrasive. And #80 leaves just about a perfect finish behind, if anything to follow up with a pure polish.

So it is a very good product, esp for someone who keeps a perfect car. But most peoples dont stay that perfect.

Your explanation fits with how I use it. Seems there are few applications where it did what I needed. Usually needed something stronger

Good, I'm not nuts (well, worse than usual).

Used M82 with a rotary buffer on this car...

          I agree.

It is a great follow-up product for someone wanting to do some finesse polishing & minor swirl removing after doing major paint correction.

I just polished the hood on my car (Using a G100) with #82 and it looks immaculate to say the least.

I use #82 via PC/W9006 as a final polishing step before LSP - I find it gives a really nice, clear finish.

I used 82, finish pad and rotary at 1300 rpm's on this truck. Topped with 21 of course. Excellent product for that maxed out shine.

Pete-FWA, I find that M82 is too mild for light color cars, but it's just right for dark color cars. I love to perform these steps to produce the clearest finish on my solid black clearcoated paint:

                M83 or M80/W-8006/RB
                M82/W-9006/RB
M80/W-8006/DA (Optional - only applicable when buffer holograms exist)
                M82/W-9006/DA
                M21/W-9006/DA

Whereas for light color cars, I will use different products:

                M83 or M80/W-8006/RB
                M80/W-9006/DA
                M21/W-9006/DA
