  • meguiar's product questions

    dear memebers..

I am a boat's and car's painter, but i am new in polishing.
but i know the meguiar's prodects since I started building
fibre glass molds by using release wax and mirror glaze plish.

now my question is the dealer gave me the diamound cut compoound with wool pad, speed glaze with a foam pad
and hi tech yellow wax 26 and white towl.

and skipped compond power cleaner, dual action ploisher
    and swirl free.

am i in the write direction or what iam using is totaly wrong??
i feel confused and not so happy with this idea
    great adventure

    Re: Meguiar's product questions

    Hi great adventure,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

[i]now my question is the dealer gave me the diamond cut compound with wool pad, speed glaze with a foam pad
and hi tech yellow wax 26 and white towel.

and skipped compound power cleaner, dual action polisher
    and swirl free.

am i in the write direction or what iam using is totally wrong??

Your dealer supplied you with a good start,

The Diamond Cut compound with a wool pad will be for removing serious defects and oxidation.

The Speed Glaze with the foam pad will be for light defects such as light oxidation, swirls and scratches.

If you use the Diamond Cut Compound first, you'll want to follow this with the Speed Glaze with the foam pad and then go to wax.

If you only use the Speed Glaze, you can follow this with wax.

You might want to pick up some M84, or M83 to have a more aggressive paint cleaner on hand that doesn't have to be used with a wool pad.

    Do you have detailing clay?

A paste wax may be more easily applied by hand than by machine, at least in my opinion.

If you get the Quickclay, you would use it after washing, and before the paint cleaner.
