WARNING MAZDA 3 2014 door panels

He everyone not sure where to post this. I work in a Mazda dealership in parts and the new 2014 Mazda 3 door panels do not like water. We have had a few stained from the tinters and no one has been able to remove them. This weekend one came in that had its windows left down in a small rain storm and it stained. Be very careful around these.

correct the cloth ovalish shaped piece that's just above the armrest

Thanks for the heads up.

Before buying our current DD, we were going to wait and buy one of these. There's been quite a bit of hype surrounding their release. Interesting that the first "real world" experience that I've heard is a negative one...

I've never had a problem with them.
and Window tinters don't just use water alone. So unless you know exactly what they used I wouldn't be telling people to not use water on these panels.

It's plastic, water will not hurt these panels but chemicals will

Your incorrect sir they do have felt cloth like panels in them . I work there and know exactly what I'm talking about. They just replaced all 4 of my wife's door panels . Your choice if you want to buy $2,000 worth of panels.

felt cloths can be very tricky with both water and chemicals, thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to file it in my memory bank. Hopefully I recall the info the first time I work on one of these

My friend just got one, and I saw spots on those pieces of cloth. I was wondering what could have caused that on such a new car

tell him to scream and make them fix it . We have quite a few on the lot that are messed up. Seems to be really bad on the light beige color interiors . Not so much on the black but if you know what your looking for you will still see it.

water is damaging the fabric? that's a new one to me. Sound like Mazda needs to do a recall on that pos

yeah its a weird one for sure . Not sure exactly what's happening but we had another one show up that supposedly left his windows down in a rain storm . What I'm wondering is if just a part of the panel is getting wet a leaving a waterline across the material versus getting the whole thing soaking wet and drying together.
