This is a very interesting thread, I for one look forward to some pictures of your future piano detailing results, even though Pianos are not exposed to the outdoors as Buellwinkle has mentioned, after polishing out a piano I would find it really hard not to apply a coat of wax like either NXT or Gold Class to take your results over the top.

I've left the outbound references to other vendors intact in this thread even though it's against forum rules because I believe in Meguiar's quality and ability to outperform the competition. I believe that in a side-by-side comparison, Meguiar's would produce better results. Competition is good for the marketplace.

f1guy68, If you end up detailing some Pianos and using Meguiar's products, be sure to take some process photos as well as some end-results photos.

I just got this mental picture of Little Susie sitting down for her recital and sliding off that freshly waxed bench, right into the orchestra pit !!!

        Mike,

I will certainly take process photos on the next job. I think you will be very amazed to see the results that Meguiar's Products acheive with my incredible skill (lol) on these finishes.

I know that wax or sealent is not a needed product, but when you see the beautiful ebony finishes on thes piano's the natural instinct is to make the color drip and the reflections ever apparant from the piano and NXT is the choice for making that happen.

And thanks for the tolerance of outbound references to other vendors.

        wblynch,

That was pretty funny. Perhaps I should start mounting free seatbelts inside each bench....hahahahaha
