As for the Xenon light you have pictured, do you know its brand name/model?

    Thanks

I’d like to say THANK YOU! to the whole Meguiar’s NXTti crew for putting on a terrific class!

Learned a lot, gained new, immediately applicable hands-on skills and had a bunch of fun too, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Also, a huge THANK YOU! to the wonderful folks at The Nethercutt Collection for allowing us the privilege of using their amazing facility. Class would have been great if it had been pretty much anywhere but to be surrounded by so many incredible cars, in what is arguably the finest restoration facility in the world and staffed by such genuinely nice people was beyond belief.

At class end there was an assortment of Meguiars products to purchase.

After over 20 years of color-sanding and polishing experience and as a student of the first NXT class, I still found this class very informative. Special thanks to Kevin and Jason for allowing me to attend.

Here is a freshly polished panel. Beautiful isn’t it?

Look at it under the Xenon light- AAGGHH!!! After some more polishing you can make sure the panel is perfect by checking it under the Xenon.

We had an assortment of specialized tools to play with which included the rotory buffer, G100 dual action polisher, Mirka bull dog sander.

Here Jeff explains proper HAND sanding.

Here Mark explains proper MACHINE sanding.

After the classroom instruction we were turned loose in to one of the (if not the) cleanest shop I have ever seen. Various hoods and painted panels were set up for students to sand polish and wax on.

Just as the prior class we were presented with instruction on proper finish restoration aided with a power point presentation.

Here is a shot of the power point screen. If you think that guy on there is a super model your wrong, LOL -- that is me sanding a panel at the first NXT class. (funny, nobody wanted my autograph, I thought I was famous now)

The NXT Tech class is designed as a traveling class and it was executed as smoothly as the first.

The second change was the NXT instructors. Jason Rose and Kevin Brown made a return but new to this class were Rod Craft and Jeff Brown from Meguiars and Mark Willie from Mirka. These guys are just as passionate about shine as any instructor ever to have had taught the NXT class.

NXT TECH CLASS II, these guys are CAR CRAZY

    Meguiar’s second NXT Tech Institute!

I had the opportunity to attend Meguiar’s second NXT Tech Institute! In Sept. I attended the first ever NXT class and I would never have believed that you could have taken something great and make it even better but that is exactly what these guys did.

The first difference from the first class is the change of location. This time the class was held at the impressive The Nethercutt Collection museum in Sylmar.
