The product you mention is an additive. It comes in a 16.9 oz or a 10oz bottle and is ment to be added to your car's washer fluid.
It is water soluable, yet at the same time leaves soemthing behind to repel water.
The instructions are simple. You mix it at a rate of 4 oz per galon of water for summer, or 4 oz per galon with winter washer fluid mix.
You can just add 2 oz to the washer fluid and you will be all set.
The stuff works okay, but there is no way this product will remove tar.
The Origional RainX on the other hand is alcohol and some silicones. It is not intended to be put in the washer fluid. The origional probably would remove tar, but I wouldn't recomend it.
