  • Updated My Site - Opinions?

I recently updated my detailing website. Lemme know what you guys think. Complements are welcome, but I would appreciate some constructive criticism. I post my website address when I post up ads on craigslist, so most viewers are craigslisters.

I also dropped my prices a little bit lately in order to try to bring in some more customers. Opinions on my prices?

Welcome to AC Auto Spa, show car quality detailing in south orange county. We are pleased to be of service to you.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

Just a quick response; I'll look more in depth later; but why do you have paypal link at the bottom? What do you sell online?

      Hey Andrew -

Site looks good! I mainly looked at the "our services" page. I'm working on my own (new) website right now, so I hope you don't mind that I was looking for ideas. Hope your customer base increases!

Sidenote - I like the swirls / no swirls comparison on the front page. Shows the customers what they're paying for!

I think he's saying he accepts PayPal and Credit Cards as payment for his services. It's a growing trend because it's convenient for some to pay with credit cards. Also, you list coupes under the Small class. Some coupes aren't that small (SL Class comes to mind). This is probably too much to do, but did you think about breaking them into the EPA class size? Just an idea.

Great site Andrew, looks nice and clean looking.

Only thing I would do is charge more for an engine detail, maybe $30 or $40.

As I am sure you know, some can be in pretty bad shape and require a bit of time.

I liked the Dodge Van as well, something different.

being new at this i could only suggest to include some info on where you're located. seems unnecessary if linked from craigslist but who knows how people may run across your site. Something like "serving the orange county california area" or something like that

Yep I accept paypal for credit card payments and that is a good call on the coupes. I never considered that before. I think I may change it to most coupes, since most of the time coupes are a bit smaller, but it leaves the availability to bump it up a size class if needed.

I may add an asterisk or something that makes price subject to change depending on the dirtiness of the engine. Most engines that I have run into here in California are dirty, but mainly just covered in lots of dust that rinses off pretty easily. We don't have tons of rain or snow, so the dry weather helps keep the engines a little less gunked up.

Good Call! I say that I serve the south orange county area in the intro paragraph, does this not stick out enough?

                Thanks for your advice guys!

Yeah, most coupes are small, but the work and product usage put in on a Cobalt or Golf coupe is a lot less than say a mid 90's Camaro or Thunderbird but it's still the same price.

your page looks very nice, the only thing i would change would be the banner up on top, make a nice logo on photoshop and use a pix of a shiny car instead of a car racing on the freeway lol

Andrew, your site looks very good.

You may want to consider adding a "you" attitude to your homepage.

Perhaps you can make the current homepage "about us" and write a home page with the "you attitude"

Your "our services" page is encyclopedia long. It's difficult to compare packages. It's more like reading a fancy menu. You just kind of settle on one that sounds good. It's well written. It may work, but I would make the same list with bullets and ask people which they prefer.

p.s. This is my last post for a few days. I'm heading to Jasper National Park to do some camping.

                      Have a good weekend.
