  • Good day

For anyone that knows me I was hired by columbia studios to detail there cars and keep up on them thru out the shooting of the movie. I had some interesting experience working with them and seen some amazing stuff as they film , One quick story the first car i clean up as it came off the carrier was a Toyota Prius. The guy in charge there tells me unwrap it and give it a quick wash , so I do that and no sooner as i am done a forklift comes by and smacks into it. I say to the guy are you nuts he says to me relax and shows me a photo of what he has to do to the car , I was like that is nuts 15 Toyota's all the same and each one gets dents in them so they match LOL. So that brings me to today my toughest job yet they roll out a prius after shooting with white powder in what is suppose to be drugs but they leave out the part where they put so type of 3m glue so the powder doesn't move. After trying every trick in the book i go to my phone and call mike from meguair's and after a 10-15 minute convo with him we come up with i am screwed and to try gasoline. Well it did the trick so a BIG THANK YOU TO MIKE and thanks once again for taking the time to talk to me. Enjoy the pics as i will post them as i take them

Here is the car they hit after i washed it LOL ,

They have 7 of these chevelle's and when done none of them will make it

Setting up a stage for crashes

Here is the Drug car i forgot to take pics after i was completely done but i have 1 or 2 of them

Here are some of the after pics

Pretty cool gig...how are you going to get the bullet holes out of the red Prius?

That's a shame all the Chevelle's will be destroyed...

              Re: Good day

Glad it worked out for you Joe! When you described the powder on the surface I had no idea it was just covered in the stuff!!! What are the odds that in the scene of the film they drive this car through a pallet stacked with bricks of the junk?!

Looks like a fun time though, and congrats on getting the job in the first place!!

Sidebar: looks like quite the list of actors for this movie too!! should be a fun flick when it comes out.

That is so cool!!! The first video was awesome

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
