  • Pre-Winter Special!

Today in class while I should have been paying attention I thought about having some kind of promotion before the winter comes. I decided that I will offer a pre-winter seal/prep to make some quick cash to get me through the winter.

I'm going to do the following:

    Tires (wash and dress)
    Wash/dry
windows inside and out with 3M glass cleaner
windows treated with UQW on windshield rear window
interior vac, wipe with QID and dress w/M40
    odor eliminator on rugs
DC1 cleaner and NXT (M16 on well maintained cars)
    Hyperdress wheel wells

All for $90-110 depending how big/trashed the car is. Any ideas/tips/critiques?

Also, how hard is it to get work at dealerships? Any chance they'll hire a reasonably experienced 17 year old like myself?

Might want to look at this thread: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37350

Also, what kind of work are you wanting to do for dealerships? I don't think the hiring part would be an issue, since most dealerships will hire anybody who walks through the door to clean cars, whether they are experienced or not. However, they want it done as cheaply as possible. That might be where conflict arises between you and the dealership. Just a thought to keep in mind.

To get contract work at dealerships, you must have an established registered business. The reason being that the dealer would need to use that for tax write-off.

If you apply there, they'd probably hire you for other work other than your detailing services. You are better off operating your own business than to work for a delaership.
