  • Opinions on business cards please....

    Greetings all,

I am in the process of designing my business cards and I am not certain as to what I should write to describe my services. I came up with the following:

    - Waxing & Polishing
    - Interior Cleaning
    - Headlight Reconditioning

Is there something else I should add, or should I change the descriptions?

I just want to be certain that people who will see my card will understand that I can also offer a complete vehicle reconditioning service.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Remember maill, email, phone, website.

    Might change "-Waxing Polishing" to

    - Washing, Polishing, Waxing
    - Swirl, Scratch Removal

You could probably put "Auto Reconditioning" in there somewhere.

I've got a lot of questions from people wondering "what's Auto Reconditioning?" so it gives you a chance to sell your service.

Detailers clean places nobody see. Detailer see's things nobody else see. But if you ask a Detailer to see how a dress looks on a woman, they are blind.

I added scratch removal to the list of services.

        Thanks for your suggestions.

Keep in mind that the term "reconditioning" often associates with the vehicle salvaging business. And auto-salvage is often considered to be a shady business. Use the term wisely and ensure that you explain your services to define "reconditioning" on your business card.

Also, it is almost crucial to have your business card designed professionally. When I was a financial analyst, I didn't have my business card designed by companies like Staples or a shopping-mall print shop. As a professional in a highly competitive, detail oriented financial industry, I needed the BEST. I posted an wanted AD in an art school bulletin board. I offered $200 for a design and left my email address. I got over 300 responses, and some were willing design my business card for FREE, along with other stationary headers. These designs are minimalist in nature. No catchy graphics. A lot of white space and simple details (a concept adopted by the iPod and Apple line of products).

Great tip, invisible. There are so many people out there right now, you need to stand out. Once you're in the door, your work will speak for itself...

Definitely nice and simple, though not very eye catching. Are they UV coated or a paper surface?

I will post my business cards when I get them or if someone can tell me how to convert a pdf into a jpeg (if possible).
