  • Looking For Tips On A Flyer.

I live within about a minute of two schools, a train station, and a printing company. And figure that gives me a pretty good number of potential customers.

I'd like to put out a flyer that's specifically designed for them, in that it would be very convenient for them to have their car done while they're working. All they would need to do is drop their car off at my place, and walk a minute or less to work. Is that unreasonable?

The wording I'm thinking of using for the flyer is something along the lines of: "Unhappy with your car's appearance? Why not have it detailed while you're at work? I'm conveniently located within a minute of the train station, and/or your work place.

Does that sound too awkward? Or maybe have two, one with just "the train station", and one with "your workplace?"

Lastly, if you have ever used a flyer, did you put any pricing on it? Why or why not?

    Thank you!

"Have two, one with just "the train station", and one with "your workplace?""

    Do this.

And if I do put pricing in my flyer, it will have some kind of an offer, like mention the flyer and recieve $5 off. I think it will help attract customers.

Once you have a few regulars, word of mouth should take care of the rest.

Well, if you know who works where and who drives what you can have 2 flyers. Are you just planning to put them on people's windshields or what? How are you planning on distributing flyers?

The "your workplace" thing sounds kind of creepy if you ask me. It's like: "I'm watching you". I picture Luca Brasi saying: "maybe if youse don't getch yah cahrs detailed by me, maybe somethin happens to it?"

For the train station, I would put them on the windshield. But for the schools and the printing company, I'm thinking about asking if I can leave them at the front counter, or on a bulletin board, something like that. That way, I can introduce myself, and make a good first impression.

          Thank you!
