Maybe create some sort of seperate "daily driver" or "AIO" package and be sure to educate the customer and inform them that it does provide some form of correction, cleans the paint, and leaves behind protection, besides that you will still dress the tires, clean the windows, etc.


To be honest, I do not have any prices or packages set in stone, I will give a rough estimate, ask a couple questions, and usually take a look at the vehicle.

Some folks like to take advantage and try and get more than they are paying for.

oh ok, my main thing though, is im not good enough to look at a vehicle, give a rough estimate and ask questions until im more into it like you are. id like to get to know how all the products work better and just get more in tune with everything so i can better give a time estimate etc and still be in estimate range

i know this post has been quite for a few months now but, just wondering how things turned out for you?

I thought most of your prices were pretty much on que. I thought maybe a little low on a couple to be honest.

For interiors...if you're going all out, i would have upped that past $50 for sure...as that can be a lot of work.

I agree with the claying and AIO as an addition. For me, i have 3 basic packages...the whole 'bronze,silver,gold' kinda thing...and then i have an A la carte menu as well that has about 6 offering...but 3 of them are 'specialty' offers if you will....headlight restoration, wheel restoration and engine detail....i think those 3, if you know how to do them, are excellent add ons to have.

I have 1 package thats a wash/clay/seal and full interior...and it comes with all the goodies (tires/rims/dressing/windows etc)

#2 is an exterior AIO package only...so its a clay, AIO like d151, then sealed and includes the tires/rims/dressing/trim etc as well. So its basically an 'in between' thing for exterior for daily drivers who want MORE than just a wax but LESS than a 3 step process, or 'show car' process, which by the way, if you are going to do a 3 step process as a type or 'show car' offering, id charge that by the hour, not by the job, since in some cases you may be doing multiple passes on one, or maybe even 2 steps. Note this has NO interior offering...i was thinking about adding in a quick interior, quick wipe down and vacuum just as a nice little add on, wont take much time at all.

My #3 is just a combo of #1 and #2...its basically #2 with a full interior...and i add in an engine detail.

Its 3 things, very simple...and then as i said, i just single out a few...the headlight,engine and wheel restoration are each optional as single services.

I then also offer a wash, like you did...and as an 'add on' for a wash you may want to offer a spray wax for an additional $5-10, thats what i did. Included in the wash is a quick interior, wipe down, vac, windows.

I offer a FULL interior by itself as well and my prices are actually about double yours of $50. If your gonna go thru and clean everything, shampoo everything (including seats if they are cloth), dress everything and treat leather seats (which i include in my full interior)....thats a lot of work. Plus you gotta consider, your using equipment like a shampooer or extractor or whatever you have...so i think $100 at least is a decent price, and add more on for SUV's especially.

The last solo option i offer is just the wash and wax. No interior, no clay and no AIO polish. Honestly i would PROBABLY do a quick clay as a throw in if the hood/truck or roof were really bad...but in most cases i wouldnt if it really doesnt need it badly. Its just wash/wax tires/rims etc like everything else. I start that at $60.
