  • weekend warriors??

Ok well, after much dispute i have decided to do some detailing at the weekend. Now i live in Scotland, which to be honest isnt the best country to do details, but does have some mega cars in Glasgow amoung other cities.

What i want to know is, do i need any kind of insurance to do like one day a week, i am aiming to do higher end cars like mercedes etc as i know i will probably get the money out these people easier.

I have my own webiste www.detail-city.tk which is good enough just now and will be getting some business cards made up shortly, what could you reccomend in ways of marketing etc? i have had 40 hits on the site since yesterday. But no emails

I am doing my dads land rover discovery, which hasnt been washed in a month or two and never waxed on saturday to try and sway clients that i am actually pretty good but i do by no means know as much as i would like to or as much as any detailers on this site!!!

    Thanks guys JJ

    Hi JJ_,

We have a number Professional Detailer that hang at here that can probably give you some pointers.

Your best advertising will be word-of-mouth-advertising, so it only follows that your work will increase as you do more work. (Is that a good thing? ) At least as long as your providing customer satisfying results.

Something I learned a long time ago when I first started out as an Outside Sales Rep, was that good news travels fast, bad news travels faster. So your hardest not to make any mistakes, and if you do, be upfront and honest with them.

As far as insurance goes, I for my brick & motor shops, I had liability insurance in case someone were to get hurt on the premises. I never had any type of insurance that would covert any possible mistake.
