  • How do you reward your regular or repeat customers?

How do you reward your regular or repeat customers? Obvious answers aside (by giving them the best results for the money!), I'm interested to know how members here on MOL reward their bread and butter clients: The ones who not only come to you (and you only) for all of their detailing needs, but also refer new clients to you and write gushing testimonials of your expertise.

Do you give them free services? Discounts on services and /or products? Do you have a point system in place for your regulars that results in redeemed value for goods or services? Let them hang out in your garage or under your mobile canopy as you detail and let them ask questions and soak up free tips?

I have a few people i detail a car for once or twice a month and sometimes i will give them products that i no longer have no use for.

Like the "Quik Wax" in the maroon bottle, I do not need that because i use Ultimate Quik Wax now.

I give them discounts, or "sales".

I'll usually try and do something above and beyond the required work. I will also give them a better price for doing more than one car.

          Yeah,
If its only exterior cleaning, Ill usually just do a quick dash wipe down and vacuum. If its a interior job, I just wash and wax the car.

          They sure do appreciate it.

I'll throw in extra steps without charging, and just let then know what I did when I am finished.

Sometimes it will be an extra step of wax (add M20 or M21 2.0 rather than one or the other), or spend extra time polishing exterior metals, or things of that nature. Sometimes I will throw in a free wax when it was just supposed to be a wash.

This is my preferred way of keeping them feeling appreciated and happy because it doesn't directly reduce my income, but still shows my appreciation (as opposed to discounting).
