are these minor dents by windows or where the body stamps Or curves are? I know on my black truck you can see things like that around the windows if your on the right angle and the sun is also. just a factory thing that we notice due to our strides toward perfection.

I have noticed one or two in our black Honda Pilot but nothing major enough that I want to do something about it. They are very minor and hard to find. I would be afraid that it might look worse.

I had 4 dents removed from the doors of my 01 Mustang after I got it (used). If you are familiar with this year Mustang the door panels where the dents were is absolutely flat so the dings really stood out. The dealer I bought the car from happened to have a guy in the bodyshop that did PDR (paintless dent repair). He was able to remove all of them with absolutely no signs they were ever there. I recently got another one through my own stupidity which was pretty bad, it had a crease in it. The PDR guy even told me up front that he may not be able to completely remove it. Well, if you look close and you know where it is you can barely see it. I am a big fan of PDR, it has saved me tons of money.

I do PDR as part of my biz and I can assure you that a good PDR technician can remove these dents and make it smooth as a baby's butt for a fraction of the price a body shop would charge.

Thanks to everyone who replied. All of the advice is very much appreciated.

I have looked up some places that perform paintless dent repairs, in Australia, and I will have to go around and see what they can do.

Although one dent is larger, the other 3 or 4 dents on one of the doors are very very minor... basically I may be over-reacting, but they are only visible when you move towards /away from the vehicle, while looking very closely, and overall some are very difficult to detect by touch!

I'm not sure how they occur, whether in car parks or wherever, however, they are in the middle of the door panel (not near any edges etc) and when you compare one door to the other, you can see that the refelection just isn't perfect on the dented door - this isn't a factory thing.

I suppose this is something that happens with a daily driven car, however, if these very very minor dents (and I mean minor) could be removed, it would be a great thing.

I just hope the dents don't perhaps re-appear /or dent back out... or indeed, more damage is done to the surrounding area of the panel where the dent is being popped back out....

PDR works great!! I have had dents removed from all my cars in the past and they look great. As long as they are not to big of a dent they should come out great, but I do say this "Leave it to the professional" don't try to do it on your own!! Good luck

However, can anyone actually confirm that these very minor dents can come out? I mean, I can understand that a dent that is at least able to be sensed by touch can come out, however, how about those dents that the sense of touch can only slightly sense, if at all?

Basically, I have noticed, just on this door, that there are about 4 very minor dents, and the reflection that comes of the panel is one of a distorted nature - not of a clear mirror finish as with the rest of the car. I am certain that no panel work has been undertaken on the car previously, as in body fillers and the like, however, by looking at the refelection that is provided, it looks like the surface is uneven. Is this perhaps because of the many dents in close proximity? This is what I am assuming, and this is why it would be great if these dents could come out.

Also, does anyone know if it's likely that by polishing/waxing etc, can these dents pop back in? Due to the pressure applied when polishing /waxing?

I am a BIG fan of PDR! I had a hit and run in Las Vegas. The body shop wanted $450 to fix it. It was in a nasty place. It is a 2002 4runner. I got hit by a Expedition. They hit me with their mirror. I got a bad dent on the hatch right above the left tail light. I got some clay and QD and got rid of the black marks, but the dent was about the size of a half dollar.

After claying the dent doesn't look as bad. But, it bugged the heck out of me.

I wish I had an after picture, but I am in California and the 4runner is in Texas right now. You have to look close to see the dent. For $50 it made me a lot happier!

Mate, a PDR Technician can remove these dents no problems! If you can see them and they bother you then get rid of them. But then again if you can live with it don't sweat it!! I know it's a pain in the a$$ especially when it's a new car the same thing happen on my wife's new PT Cruiser, two weeeks after we got it three dents appeared out of nowhere!! I just pulled out my PDR rods and got rid of them in(20 min).

EDITED FOR OFFENSIVE REMARKS P.D.R ing isnt all that great of a method may be cheaper but not as good any time you get a dent the paint is cracked even if you cant see it and over a couple years of wear and tear you will start having paint problems. Why do you think they put flex agents in the paint for bumpers and flexible parts because when normal paint flexs it usually gets cracked so when metal gets stretched the paint cracks

I don't know which PDR shop you have been dealing with in the pass and where you got this information, but then again, you always have the option to go to the body shop and pay twice as much!
