  • Detailing T-Shirt and Business Card

Hey guys, i was looking at some of the other detailers' pictures on this site and noticed that they wear shirts with their business' name while their at a job. So, i went to Target and got some iron-on paper and some premium T-Shirts (White) and made them myself... I think they turned out great! I LOVE THEM!!! I know their not perfect, but they will definitely make me look more professional when working on customer's cars. Also, heres my Business Card that i've been having for some time but never got to posting it on the forums...

    Here are some pictures

    Lemme know what yall think!

Looks great. Nice way to improve you image until you can get screen printed *****.

One thing though........ your going to find out white was a poor choice -LOL

      We wear grey, guess why...........

The only thing about those iron-on printing is once you wash them they are pretty messed up. You might be okay if you air-dry but don't put it in the drier. I made a shirt a while back and the transfers were destroyed after I did laundry. :\
You can get numbers and letters that are iron on and raised surface which are a lot better quality and will hold up great.

I've been wanting to get shirts just not sure where. Gray is the color to go with in my opinion as well.

                  White’s a perfectly good color for a detailing shirt as long as;

you only use compounds, polishes and waxes that never, ever splatter no matter what,

you never work on single stage paint,

                  your buffer technique is perfect,

your pads are perfectly balanced and centered,

the cars you work on have no dirt on them to begin with,

                  you never do engine bays,

you never ever have to lie on the ground to work on the undercarriage, wheels, tires, wheel wells or bumpers,

the cars you work on always have perfectly clean upholstery and interior panels,

you never have to work on wheels that have any brake dust,

                  and,

                  you never sweat.

I'd rather wear a white one as apposed to the black Meguiars shirts that their employee's have to wear, I can't imagine how much hotter they make you in the summer time. Gray would be best probabaly...

nice shrits. as far as the meguires shirts they should be wearing dry fit shrits from nike. a lot cooler in the heat than cotton.
