In order to work in the shade, I know a lot of people use tents. What size tent do most of you use? And do you just get a top or do you get sides for them as well?

What me and my friend like to use is a 10x10 with one side, but it would be nice to have another 10x10 just to completely cover the entire car.

Hi,I use a 4.5 m by 2.5 m for my car. it's kind of small as the sun moves on.I believe that a 6m by 4 m would cover better.Got mine at a camping section of a large store.

I have 10x10 and I find it too small, it doesn't create enough shade. Getting two 10x10 will not solve a problem for side panels either. What I would like to find is 12x16.

I agree with zoranC about 12x16, I've got a 12x12 ez-up and it's great but on about all the vehicles I've done it would helped me if I had about 4 more foot.

I'm glad you asked Aerocleanse, I am in the market for a pop-up tent and I wasn't sure what size would be suitable.

Joe's (Superior Shine) KD Canopies are really nice and measure 10' x 15' each, but they're kinda expensive. I do like the fact that they're aluminum versus steel.

Thanks for the link, because when I emailed Joe he said something to the effect "I don't do product recommendations anymore"

I use a 10x12 with adjustable legs , picked it up at Dick's for $130. Works great, easy to set up & take down. I have had for three years now with no problems.

The bigger the better IMO. I have a 10x10 and it's useless unless it's noon exactly. You want a tent to block the sun so you can work on it, so get one as big as you can afford. Put 2 together if you have to, but if you do that you'd still want them to be wide.

I saw some 10'x20' ones at Wal-Mart, the look promising, but who knows about the quality.
