Re: Pricing plan for my detailing business...

I was just using Cali as an example...I was just trying to say where you live can have an effect on the type of cars you will see and the amount of money people will be willing to spend in order to care for them.

I see very few exotics in MN and a lot in Cali...or South Beach.

You are 100% correct. Before you launch, you need to make certain your area can and will support professional level detailing! But, one can not judge the success of a possible market by the number of Exotics alone but you are correct...lots of high-end cars is one good sign!

By percentage, do must detailers make their living from exotics? While Joe from Superior Shine and a handful of others do a number of Exotics, the majority of the detail work completed within this entire country consist of soccer parents SUV's, Sedan's and vehicles of choice...not exotics.

Also, there is a sizable number of exotic owners that can be royal pains and cheap beyond belief!

The prices Superior gets compared to Pros around here is unmatched.
California is a higher cost of living therefore you better be a CEO of a large corporation
I quoted Superior Shines prices to a potential client of mine the other day. Which I received a complimentary punch in face ...
