  • Another question about pressure washers...

I was wondering if any of the mobile detailers out there use their pressure washers for anything other than rinsing off the vehicles. Do you still wash by hand, or do you use the pressure washer for the whole thing?
Also, what is this that I've read about rinse free washes?

    thanks

Re: Another question about pressure washers...

I use my pressure washer for rinsing only now. I've toyed with the idea of getting a foaming gun, but the way I do it works for me so why change it now? I'm not a high quantity shop, and I don't need to get them out the door fast. Taking 1-2 hours to really get the car clean doesn't bother me. Plus, I think my customers like the fact that I don't try and rush something as simple as washing. But it all depends on your clients. If you're trying to rush and get them out the door as quick as they come in, then maybe a foaming gun is for you.

The no rinse washes are all over the net, including this forum. Do a quick search and you should find all of the info you need. I use QEW(Quick Easy Wash). Pretty much all of my clients are classics and exotics. Some of these classics don't run, but the owner still wants them nice and clean while they're in the garage. So I'll use QEW to wash the body of the vehicle in the garage before I polish them. But if at all possible, I like to do the conventional wash over the no rinse wash. I'll only use this method(no rinse wash) if I have no other choice.
