How much do you pay your help?

I know this is going to vary from state to state due to the cost of living and experience. But, what do you pay your hired help to detail?

Hourly? How much per hour?

Percentage? What percentage?

I'll work cheap!

Just a thought but I do freelance architecture and most places like that I work as a sub contractor. That way you don't have to mess with all the employee stuff.
