I'm just wondering if anyone has seen the "Worlds Best Car Washer" on Google Video or Youtube. This guy spends like 6k on wax and uses some crazy stuff to get the cars he washes perfect. Hes pretty good at what he does.

Re: Worlds Best Carwasher
Yeah, that video floats around here every now and then.
Some of the things this guy does are a little extreme. For a nearly flawless finish GC wash, Quik Clay, #80, #7, and #16 will provide almost the same results.
The point is that he is good, it's just that he goes to some extremes that are unnecessary. The method above will transform the cars the he details into true beauties without spending 6k. With a PC and the listed products and a little experience, you can achieve fantastic results for $220.Chris

Re: Worlds Best Carwasher
Can someone post a link? I am curious.
I want to see how he is compared to this detailer guy I met in Beverly Hills....charges something like 900 bucks. He was on MTV once. His trademark (well, one of them) is that he goes into these upscale salons and buys these makeup brushes at like $200 each for interior dusting.
Crazy. Car Crazy maybe?

Re: Worlds Best Carwasher
Well I have to admit that the car looked good and Paul seems to both take pride and actually loves his chosen work. Good work if you can get it I suppose.
Would I pay 6k for a wash? No. But if I were rich I would be tempted to just to see it. Then again, almost all of the cars in the Show Off! thread look just as good to me as the Maserati did.

Re: Worlds Best Carwasher
I've got to hand it to him - he gets paid craploads of money for doing something he loves. He obviously has enough people willing to pay the crazy prices to stay in business.
I think anyone that has a fleet of super high end sports cars can more than afford his prices. $6,000 is a drop in the bucket for them.A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Re: Worlds Best Carwasher
dont think for a second that every car he does pays him that much....its a select few, and I am willing to bet that its not a 1K paying job he is doing for a wash...its a marketing ploy that has gotten the attention of the intended audience....YOU, and everyone else out there who thinks its amazing...
