  • Changing my business name

    Hi,
I am changing my company name – THE CONVERTIBLE SPA – as some people think I run a massage parlor or I only work on convertibles.
Background – I have been looking for a catchy catch phrase for my company the last couple of years. It needed to be easy to read, rolls off your tongue, easy to remember and describes what we do. Well this self describing phrase was used by Mike a couple of months ago and it just kept coming back to me as this is the name for my company. Mike was describing what we do and used Paint Polishing or Paint Polisher. So I went to GoDaddy and PaintPolisher .com will be my web site in the near future.
Here is where I need your help. An opportunity has presented itself and I need to kick my advertising/marketing department into high gear. As a one man show I know enough to realize what I don’t know in the advertising /marketing areas.
A client of mine asked me if I would consider making up some signage to attach to their vehicle to attract their client base to my operation. This is a high end strip mall with tons on cars coming and going and they always park their vehicle right up front so the signs will have passing foot traffic and car traffic. Yes, I will putting on and taking off the signs and its only a 7 minute drive to their location for me so no signs on the car when it gets dirty and before the next wash. They do not mind driving around with these signs on the car so for me this seems like a good deal. I am thinking of 3 signs. Each passenger rear window and on the drivers side back window.
The graphics store suggested static cling signs, 8” X 10” rectangle about $12 bucks each.
We can use any colors that would we can come up with for the lettering, the background, and maybe an image – could be a car, car silhouette, hood, fender or a roof top shot of a car with water beading or….no image at all as this might be too much clutter?

Using PaintPolisher.com in the name I think has its advantages?
I would like to use this signage makeup on my business cards for a smooth tie in.
    Thanks for reading and thinking.

I like your new company name, Al! I think it conveys what your business does much better than your old name. I'm not sure if I understand what kind of signs you are getting, though. Can the signs actually have a picture on them (one that looks realistic) or would it just be an outline? The only static cling signs I can think of have a clear background and colored font.

PS. Is the offer still open for me to call you about the Excel sheet? I've just been really busy lately so I haven't been able to do much toward my business...

I like your new company name. IT has a catch to it. Good luck. I agree with you on the confusion in regards to your old busines name. Once again best of luck.

We have two trucks with on graphics on it. We have gotten very few calls from these cars, but they are moving and going all the time. There was a time when we parked them in stratigic locations and we got several calls when we did that so I think this is a good oppourtunity for you.
