  • Business Name

I currently do some detailing on the side and I am continually working to be more professional and eventually would like to start detailing as a full time business. I have been brainstorming a lot for a name and the name that I like the most so far is Striking Details. Tell me what you guys think of it, feel free to make suggestions and if you don't like the name I'd like to know that too. Just looking for some constructive criticism .....thanks in advance!

I like it. Simple, easy to remember.

I see your not to far away from Grand Haven. We have our SS gathering every year at Gage Chevrolet. Last year was my first time over there. Really nice area.

Currently StrikingDetails.com is available at GoDaddy

If you like it, create an account at GoDaddy.com and then register the name. Make sure you really like this name as once you start a business you'll be using it on every form and transaction you make. You want to make sure your business name is easy for your customers to remember and spell, (so they can type it into a browser for example), and it should create a mental picture of "what the business will do for them"

Always be customer oriented, put yourself in your customer's shoes and their mindset and try to think like them, most people think like this,

        What's in it for me?

Answer: A clean shiny car that projects professional image, maintais the car's appearance and thus value and is done at a price that makes it appealing to the owver versus having to do it for themselves.

You're business, in all of it's dimensions needs to answer that question.

        Hope this helps...

I don't care for the name, but I don't hate it. I think it will work just fine.

              Re: Business Name

I probably wouldn't use it myself, but posted the example above as an idea...

It's the word "Striking", make me think of starting a fire with a match, it's not very often we hear someone use it in common dialog as in,

"Wow Tim, your truck is absolutely striking"

personally, if i ever were to open a detailing shop.

                i like this name.

                Buff N Stuff.

                cheesy. perhaps. but catchy.

heck we got a shop called SUDS and they're lineups for like hours on end to go through a 15 minute car scratch.

Striking Details.... Dramatic_ sensational in appearance or thrilling in effect. Sounds good to me. look at Mcdonalds who the hell would think "hey theres a place to get a hamburger"hehe then you have toco bell hmmm wonder what they have. So i dont think your gona make or break it with a name, imo tho i dont think i would use details its like 2 descriptive words together. Striking is dramatic enough then under it or whatever in the graphic Auto detailing Car cleaning mobil car cleaning. you know to let them know what you do thts so striking. Good luck

My wifes coffee business is named Hot Beanz, I thought when I do stuff on the side to name mine Hot Detailz, she made me some business cards, looks pretty cool.

                    "man my car looks HOT"

                    may work......

Doesn't sound too bad. For my side detailing I came up with Extreme Clean. Didn't sound bad until a used car lot started up with the name Extreme Motors so now people think I'm affliated with them.
